This is my story about how I'm currently dealing with my metastatic prostate cancer, which has recently spread to some lymph nodes in my groin. I was on Active Surveillance for about 10 years before it spread, and now I'm turning to the medical community for a go forward solution.

New Exercise program
Hi folks,
About a month ago I was invited to check out a Men's Fitness group called F3. 'F3' stands for Fitness, Fellowship and Faith. The workouts (called beatdowns) generally start between 5-6am and run for 45 to 75 mins. From their site: F3 Nation - Fitness | Fellowship | Faith ®
F3 is a national network including 2,864 free, peer-led workouts for men in 199 regions. Our mission is to plant, grow and serve small workout groups for men for the invigoration of male community leadership.
The "hook" is the Fitness, but the main benefit, in my opinion is the Fellowship and Faith!! I've met a bunch of like-minded, equally yoked brothers over the last month that I really appreciate. There have been several workouts where I didn't even feel like getting out of bed (at 4ish am) but I got up and went because 1) I had committed to and 2) I knew my fellow F3'ers would be there to encourage and lift me up.
The motto is "Leave no man behind, but leave no man where you find him".
Guys, if you're looking a a fitness program, or if you like fitness and are looking for more fellowship in your life, I'd highly recommend checking out F3. It's a nation-wide program and if there aren't already groups in your area, you can start one!
Ladies, there's a similar organization for you called FIA. Here's the website: Home - FiA Nation
And it's more than just exercise. This morning we had our monthly '3rd F' breakfast where we got to hear the testimony and story of a father/son team who have grown closer to each other and to God through their involvement in F3. The son has been on several overseas mission trips (that he paid for), suffered through typhoid fever on one of them, and is currently planning on another 2 year trip. He does F3 early in the mornings, works at Chic-fil-A when he can, and is putting himself through college. This young man has and is going to bless a LOT of people.
Be blessed,
Tom

Covid and Essential Oils
Hi folks,
Thought I'd throw this out there for your consideration, because you definitely won't hear anything like this in mainstream media. Geranium and Lemon Essential Oils and Their Active Compounds Downregulate Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme 2 (ACE2), a SARS-CoV-2 Spike Receptor-Binding Domain, in Epithelial Cells

Update
I haven't updated my status lately as frankly I wasn't too pleased with myself. Back in October I wrote about the fact that my PSA was climbing again (see chart below) and that I hadn't been as diligent in keeping myself healthy as I should have been.
Date: PSA
Jan 2017 2.94
Jul 2017 2.78
Jan 2018 2.7
Jul 2018 2.96
Mar 2019 4.88 (there are some things you shouldn't do just prior to PSA testing!! :) )
April 2019 3.76
Sept 2019 4.12
Jan 2020 5.13
Apr 2020 4.27
My MRI in December 2019 showed that the tumor is growing slightly, still inside the prostate, with no metastasis.
In the last couple months I've resumed my daily intake of individual essential oils in a glass of water or juice. About 5 times a week, I'll put several drops of Frankincense, Myrrh, Thyme, Grapefruit and Lemongrass into 4-5 ounces of water or juice. My focus is mainly on oils that help fight inflammation, and aid in the digestive process. I also take DDR Prime and Deep Blue capsules once or twice a day.
Obviously I'm concerned that my numbers have climbed again, but I also still have faith in the fact that God created our bodies to heal themselves. It took years for my PSA to slowly climb to the point of prompting the biopsy that discovered the prostate cancer, and I fully expect that now that my body has gotten to the point of the creation of cancer cells getting out of control, that my "fight" may need to occur on a daily basis. In case I hadn't mentioned it before, per genetic testing of one of the biopsies, I discovered that I was genetically disposed to the creation of tumors. My immunohistochemistry is "poor" with a loss of PTEN, and an overexpression of ERG.
The PTEN enzyme is part of a chemical pathway that signals cells to stop dividing and triggers cells to self-destruct through a process called apoptosis.

ERG Gene:
This gene can be classified as a proto-oncogene. During chromosomal translocations that occur in cell division, ERG can accidentally get stuck onto a different chromosome than where it belongs. This is analogous to another translocation, the Philadelphia chromosome. This results in fusion gene products, which can have bad consequences for cells. Examples of these fusion gene products would be TMPRSS2-ERG and NDRG1-ERG in prostate cancer,

Now that I'm back on track I expect my numbers and findings will come down again.
Be blessed,
Tom

--------------------------
This looks to be an exciting new way to address prostate cancer, and is located here in my home state of Georgia. As my latest PSA has risen slightly and my MRI indicates my tumor may be growing I'm actively tracking today's treatment options. As of this time, I'm still practicing Active Surveillance. I feel fine and have no "symptoms" that I'm aware of.
Be blessed,
Tom

Thyme oil can inhibit COX2 and suppress inflammation
https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2010/01/100113122306.htm
Researchers have found that six essential oils -- from thyme, clove, rose, eucalyptus, fennel and bergamot -- can suppress the inflammatory COX-2 enzyme, in a manner similar to resveratrol, the chemical linked with the health benefits of red wine. They also identified that the chemical carvacrol was primarily responsible for this suppressive activity.
