Relive 'Morning Run'

Stephen and I had a great run this morning.  We ran through a few puddles, but most of the path was dry. Those puddles did cause a small blister on the back of my right heel though, so I guess I’ll have to work on my ‘running in water’ technique. J.   We knocked out 5 miles today, which is becoming the norm for our runs.  I’m not ready to match his 10 and 30 mile runs, but I’m getting better. Also, as usual, it was a very “casual” run for him as my pace is a couple minutes slower than his.

Check out our path from Heritage Park to Etowah Park and back.

Morning puddle hopping!

Hi folks,

Had a great run this morning, logging 5.27 miles in 52 minutes and change.  It wasn't raining, but there were lots of puddles on the path. At first we'd run around them in the wet grass, but when the grass started becoming more mud than grass, we resigned to just hoof it through the puddles.

Still praising God for bringing my running buddy Stephen into my life.  He  gets me on the paths/trails on a regular basis and encourages and keeps me going when I want to stop.

Have a blessed day!

PSA results still great!!

Hi folks,

I'm approaching 4 years since being diagnosed with Prostate Cancer, and I'm still celebrating being cancer free, even though the medical profession won't admit it. :)

I got my latest PSA results back today, and they're still within normal range at 2.7 ng/mL.!!

That's down .08 from my 7/12/17 PSA of 2.78.

Praise God!!

Have a blessed day!

First post Christmas run

Had a good run this morning. Wore 2 layers on the lower body and 3 on the upper and stayed warm throughout the run. Actually got hot.

Once again, thanks to my buddy Stephen for getting me out there. I wasn't planning on running, but when he texted me last night, i decided that I had to go. I figured that I wouldn't turn down down an invitation to snowboard (ie have fun) just because of the cold, so why would I turn down an opportunity to maintain my health by jogging? Isn't health more important than recreation?

Exercise isn't always convenient or "comfortable" but other than God's grace, nothing worth having is free.

Relive my Run

Hi folks,

Really didn't feel like getting out of bed this morning, but I dragged myself to the park for a run with my bud  Stephen.

It was slow, but we managed to get in our 4 miles. I'm truly blessed to have a running buddy like Stephen. His normal pace is a good minute or minute and a half faster than mine, but he hangs back and sticks with me the entire way.
