Great results from my latest Prostate biopsy!!

Hello everyone,

I got great results from my biopsy last Friday! The tumor that the Dr saw in my June MRI was the same low grade, non-aggressive type cancer as the original biopsy in 2014.  Due to what he saw in the June MRI, he had expected a higher grade, more aggressive cancer to be found.  We also discovered that I have 2 genetic markers which explain the presence of my cancer.  My PTEN marker, which normal;y works to suppress tumors, is under-expressed, and my ERT marker, which can contribute to disorganized and malformed cells (aka cancer) in the prostate, is over-expressed.

This doesn’t necessarily mean that I’m going to develop any more cancer, but does mean that I’ve got to keep a close eye on it, and I’ve also got to do everything I can to help my body compensate for its genetic deficiencies.  I faithfully believe that God has shown me how to overcome this “condition” and I plan to proceed with my natural treatments.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to pray for me, my condition and my family during this time.  Please continue to keep me in your prayers, that I would be faithful to what God has shown me, and I would be persistent and consistent in taking the steps necessary to help my body overcome my genetic flaws.

Be blessed,

Tom Sexton
